Description

This role leads product development in support of the Archit&Pkg product portfolio and business start-up. This role will take lead in product solution screening, development, validation, supporting process development and pilot manufacturing, working cross functionally to drive successful product development and support associated business success. This is an entrepreneurial high growth business opportunity within the Display and Flexible Technology Business Unit.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for Research and Development of the Archit&Pkg business including new product development, validation and introduction.
  • Leads development and execution of innovation/technology roadmaps in support of product roadmaps
  • Working cross functionally to convert VOC into CTQ, build up application knowledge and next level processing knowledge.
  • Scouts technical solutions, conduct assessment on technical difficulties.
  • Drives technology and product development through working with partners.
  • Assists customer application understanding and development to facilitate new product introduction
  • Accountable for planning and executing collaboration programs through the whole life cycle, on-time delivery, cost and quality of new products and technologies to support customer, operating plan and growth commitments of Archit&Pkg
  • Supports product development process to manage product life cycle
  • Supports quality, productivity and sustaining engineering initiatives partnering with customers and operations
  • Manages technology partners and supports new product related strategic sourcing needs partnering with strategic sourcing/supply chain
  • Leads sampling field quality processes working closely with field commercial resources
  • Desired Skills, Competencies & Experience

  • Technical degree or equivalent experience with minimum 5+ years of relevant experience. Master degree and above preferred.
  • Material sciences, chemistry, optics and physics experience/domain expertise. Thin film processing experience desired.
  • Wet coating and dry coating experience preferred.
  • Packaging and architecture industry technology experience desired
  • Extensive new product development experience with a performance based track record
  • High financial acumen and analytical/data/statistics oriented decision making style
  • Positive can do hands on entrepreneurial attitude that builds support for RD&E needs
  • Ability to effectively manage and deliver to multiple KPIs
  • Critical thinking and ability to influence and communicate effectively with multiple internal stakeholders (Sales, finance, marketing, strategy, management)
  • Excellent personal time management and project management skills.
  • Language: English.
  • Travel: Around 30% domestic and international
