The CAO is a strategic partner and trusted advisor to the Head of Global Diversity and Talent Management and the extended talent and diversity community of practice. The CAO is responsible for both day-to-day operations of the function as well as helping to create and advance strategic initiatives and drive these through strong working relationships with senior leaders and HR colleagues across the company. Core Responsibilities: Lead the development and execution of strategic initiatives to drive organizational capability for diversity and talent management, identify measures of system performance and actions needed to solve complex challenges around selection, retention, and promotion Provide strategic and managerial oversight for global data analytics, reporting, and data governance that inform talent and diversity related decisions and planning and influence the direction and outcomes of our collective efforts Build and maintain effective relationships with business leaders, HR partners, data reporting teams, and external partners and consultants to support a wide range of efforts that create a talent-centric ecosystem and improve workplace effectiveness Partner closely with business leaders, SHROs, Senior HR Advisors and other HR practice leaders to inform short and long-term strategies to increase diverse representation regarding the growth and development of top talent Produce CEO and Board deliverables Manage day-to-day working of the extended diversity and talent team; help set goals, track and measure outcomes of initiatives to drive forward-looking strategic priorities, and facilitate global diversity and talent meetings Provide operational support to Global Head of Talent and Diversity; prepare and present QBRs, track success metrics, oversee audits, compliance and controls, produce monthly reports and dashboards Serve as member of select committees, task forces, and working groups focused on a variety of special projects specific to Global Diversity and Talent Management deliverables Qualifications 15 years related experience Bachelor s Degree required; MBA preferred Global awareness/global business orientation Ability to establish strong working relationships with colleagues and partners at all levels Demonstrated leadership, strategic planning, project management, analytical and organizational skills Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; strong interpersonal skills Ability to inspire trust, influence others, promote collaboration and motivate Consummate team player, flexible, high level of diplomacy Acts with curiosity and takes the initiative to identify problems, offer creative solutions and resolve issues Strong process orientation and fiscal aptitude; great level of attention to detail Competencies: Excellent analytical, process, and project management skills to deliver detailed, data-driven work outputs to senior executives Highly strategic and systems thinker; able to seamlessly connect the dots to create a cohesive and compelling direction for talent and diversity at Citi Strong sense of urgency and ability to independently drive initiatives to closure Experienced people leader, capable of overseeing developing high performing team Ability to influence senior leaders and other departments without having direct reporting authority Strong presentation skills; can speak across various forums and communicate to a broad, diverse audience
