The Aggregate Engineering Analyst position will work with the other members of the Aggregate Team and is responsible for organizing and facilitating the assessment of Colas USA aggregate facilities with regards to production, maintenance, equipment utilization, design, market analysis and financial performance. This position will arrange and coordinate the meetings, perform administrative functions for the Aggregate Team and prepare the reports outlining the recommendations for improvements. This position will also follow up on the actionable plans with the local team that align with the Global One Colas Quarry Strategy.
* Support the One Colas Quarry vision and mission statements throughout the subsidiaries * Maintain proper communication with the Team leader * Organize the Aggregate Team meetings and audits * Participate in all Aggregate Team meeting and audits * Prepare minutes and reports from Aggregate Team interventions including: improvement plants, strategies and marketing * Follow up with Local zones on progress to actionable items * Monitor and update prepared actions in order to improve production costs, and efficiencies within the local zones * Develop and maintain computerized files relative to all areas of responsibility * Champion the One Colas Quarry program by mentoring and supporting operational management * Assist with the evaluation of site financial performance based on key performance metrics * Run aggregate process modeling software to illustrate potential improvements * Share and encourage implementation of aggregate best practices within and between subsidiaries * Share tool and processes to local zones for improving performance in order to achieve financial bench marks * Promote a culture of continuous improvement within the aggregate product line * Perform other duties as assigned
Education and Minimum Experience:
* BS Degree (mining or other engineering designation) or equivalent experience preferred. * Must have at least one (1) year of experience in the aggregate field or related area. * Project management experience desired.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
* Must be able to work both independently and in a team environment * Must be proficient in PC use, Microsoft Office, Word processing, and spreadsheets * Ability to present and work with database software is a plus * Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills required to influence and affect positive change at a site and market area level. * Must be a self-starter with the ability to multi-task * Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving, and adhering to safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas * Basic knowledge of aggregate process modeling software (such as Aggflow or Stonemont) * Basic understanding of financial statements * Excellent facilitation skills * Basic knowledge of Mine Planning software * Disciplined and process-oriented individual * General understanding of project management * Strong problem-solving skills
