In this role, you will responsible for providing technical leadership and expertise as an individual contributor in collaboration with various cross-functional project teams. You work as an internal consultant in one or more areas of engineering expertise, often in the form of a Subject Matter Expert and provides innovative solutions for engineering highly-complex developmental problems that are competitive with industry and company standards.
In this role, you will be responsible for the development and delivery of software for the MachineQ gateway platform. The primary responsibilities will include developing embedded Linux distributions and building management software. You must be able to pick up new languages and technologies quickly, be a strong team player, and rapidly adapt to changing business and customer demands. Job duties include a balance between development and fast paced critical thinking, communication, troubleshooting and problem solving.

Requirements:
- 8+ years of experience in building software for embedded Linux based systems (Yocto, Openwrt, or Buildroot)
- Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent in Engineering, Computer Science
- Must have experience in automated deployments, automated rollbacks, A/B testing and live traffic shaping.
- Must be experienced with the implementation of authentication and encryption frameworks.
- Must have working experience of at least 1 wireless technology (802.11, Bluetooth, LoRaWAN, or Zigbee).
- Must have experience automating Internet networking technologies such as DNS, NAT, Firewalls, etc.
- MUST have at least 5+ years of experience working with at least 1 compiled language (e.g. GoLang or C/C++ is preferred)
- MUST have at least 5+ years of experience working at least 1 scripted language (e.g. Python, Javascript, or Lua).
- Must have good presentation and communication skills
- Must be able to lead multiple projects at the same time and act as a technical architect
