We Offer A significant role within the Asset Management legal team, primarily engaging in private fund formation as well as supporting the division's Employee Plans team, which is focused on structuring carried interest and incentive fee plans, leveraged co-investment plans and deferral plans for various Asset Management private equity and hedge fund businesses Providing subject matter expertise and comprehensive advice on matters related to liquid and illiquid private funds, including Employee Plans, investment management matters and regulation and issues impacting the field Interaction with senior management, HR and Executive Compensation, private fund investment teams as well as tax, regulatory, accounting and legal and compliance teams across Asset Management and the Bank Participating in various regional and cross-regional projects, as well as broad legal and regulatory initiatives to the extent they have an impact on the various Employee Plans Working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment A department which values Diversity and Inclusion (D&I) and is committed to realizing the firm's D&I ambition which is an integral part of our global Conduct and Ethics Standards.Credit Suisse maintains a Working Flexibility Policy, subject to the terms as set forth in the Credit Suisse United States Employment Handbook.You Offer JD Degree or above (international LLM acceptable) At least 5 years of Investment Management experience at a law firm or in-house at financial institution, focused on structuring of private investment funds -- private equity and/or hedge funds, some experience with leveraged co-investment arrangements, upper tier structuring of Fund sponsors and/or deferred compensation preferred Solid understanding of the legal and regulatory environment applicable to Asset Management; Experience with Volcker/bank regulatory considerations for fund sponsors a plus First class organizational skills with excellent attention to detail, a motivated pro-active approach and strong analytical skills Solid interpersonal and communication skills for building up relationship with internal stakeholders and managing complex projects Ability to work independently and efficiently under time constraints Understands the value of diversity in the workplace and is dedicated to fostering an inclusive culture in all aspects of working life so that people from all backgrounds receive equal treatment, realize their full potential and can bring their full, authentic selves to work.
