Do you enjoy working in a dynamic and energizing environment? This position presents you with an opportunity to work in such an environment. As a Billing Assistant; you will be responsible for insurance billing and management of patient and facility accounts.



Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:30am - 5:00pm



Primary Responsibilities

?Review reports and transactions prior to generating invoices to ensure accuracy.

?Research and document customer disputes, responding to all inquiries within the expected time-frame.

?Communicate with Business Office Managers, Directors of Nursing and/or Administrators at the long term care facilities as needed.

?Timely verification and entry of customer information.

?Meet all billing deadlines designated by customer expectations and contractual agreements.

?Communicate ongoing problems/concerns related to report review or customer concerns to Supervisor.

?Maintain accurate and complete records concerning patient billing activity / communication on all accounts. Work and partner with other internal and external departments to resolve issues.

?Follow all applicable government regulations including HIPAA. Demonstrates Omnicare's established Core Values. Complies with departmental policies regarding safety, attendance, and dress code.

?Overtime, holidays and weekends may be required and/or expected.

?Other duties as assigned.



**Required Qualifications**

? High School Diploma or equivalent

? 1-2 years pharmacy billing or office setting experience

? Basic knowledge of insurance procedures

? Effective multitasking skills

?Ability to work in a fast paced, rapidly changing environment

? Excellent verbal and written communication as well as listening skills

? Intermediate computer and typing skills



**Preferred Qualifications**

? Healthcare industry experience

? 1-3 years of pharmacy billing experience

? 1-3 years of experience working in and office setting



**Education**

? High School Diploma or equivalent
