THE ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES

We are looking for an experienced marketing manager for bioprocessing to drive the growth and support our team in this exciting market segment. While the job is primarily focused to support our sales and technical team in North America, it also includes global responsibilities like leading our segment innovation team or developing and implementing market participation strategies for specific initiatives. The position requires the capabilities to lead and work with multi-functional and cross cultural teams as well as to interact with customers in commercial and technical regards.

  • Develops and implements marketing activities for the bioprocessing / biopharma segment in specialty solutions which are associated with product marketing, pricing, branding, advertising and direct marketing.
  • Develops and implements marketing participation plans and programs for resins, adsorbents and membranes in bioprocessing in order to effectively contribute to the achievement of the company's business and marketing objectives.
  • Collects and analyzes market, customer and competitive intelligence data from external and internal sources.
  • Understands and map new domains, adjacencies into which DWS can win accretive high-value sales and what is required to do so: new products, new technologies, strategic partnerships, new business models, acquisitions etc.
  • Works closely with sales and technical teams to align regionally and globally on market facing initiatives and day-to-day customer interaction.
  • Builds strategic partnerships with customers and suppliers to ensure access to market and technology
  • Leads mINT (market innovation team) to identify, prioritize and coordinate product and application development projects.
  • Works cross-functionally with R&D, TS&D and commercial to initiate, develop, and drive the segment innovation pipeline.
  • Drives implementation of Marketing Communication plan with Communications
  • Ensures effective use of resourcing for segment including Sales, Communications and TS&D.

  • Profile

  • Strong technical background with minimum 3 years industry experience in the bioprocessing / biopharma industry.
  • Commercial and/or marketing experience
  • Chemical and/or biological and/or engineering degree and/or MBA
  • Background in both resin and membrane technology
  • Experience in portfolio and product management.
  • Readiness to travel in North America as well as globally.
  • Based in North America, preferably East Coast, greater Philadelphia area
