Additionally, we offer an outpatient, short-term partial hospitalization program (PHP) for both adults and adolescents. HCA Nurse Residency Program (ARTS & Substance Abuse Unit) StaRN Program (10 Weeks Total): Our StaRN Program will provide you with the tools necessary to succeed in today's hospital environment. It will help you transition out of the classroom setting and onto the unit by providing the following training: 5 weeks classroom, self-study, skills & simulations 5 weeks preceptorship Certifications: CPI, TIC, NAMI After StaRN, you will transition into our Professional Development Residency: 9 month program factored into a full time position on the unit You will learn Charge Nurse and Preceptor skills You will collaborate with a mentor to complete an evidence based Capstone Project (4 hours a month) Your project has an opportunity to gain recognition by corporate for further recognition Cohort Start Date Summer 2019 Additional Information about Tucker Pavilion: Use of audiovisual technology to offer Behavioral Health Needs assessments to HCA Virginia's Emergency Departments Partnership with the community in offering a Crisis Triage Center Injection of clinical pathways in programming Diverse array of therapeutic offerings - yoga, 12 step support, NAMI peer support, spiritual, pet therapy, gym on site, and more Quality focus with outcome measurements injected into clinical programming Host site for Behavioral Health clinical nursing rotations Additional Information about our ARTS & Substance Abuse Unit: You will work on a unit with 20 semi-private beds Our nurse to patient ratio is 1:4-5 You will work in a fast-paced environment that requires excellent communication and focus.
