The College of Veterinary Medicine (CVM) at Long Island University (LIU) in Brookville, New York, invites applications from self-directed, motivated individuals to join LIU-CVM faculty in the field of Animal Behavior and Welfare. The position may be filled at a full-time tenure-track Assistant, Associate or Full Professor level. Applications for part-time non-tenure track clinical faculty will also be considered.
We are seeking DVM and PhD academics interested in teaching in the Doctor of Veterinary Medicine program. Successful candidates must be engaged in educational, research and service activities. Priority review will be given to candidates whose strength is research, with demonstrated experience in securing extramural funding for research, and exhibited skill in curriculum development, implementation, and teaching. Additionally, successful candidates must be naturally adept at promoting LIU-CVM's enhancing veterinary medical education through excellence in teaching, research and service mission to a variety of stakeholders.
All Assistant/ Associate/ Full Professor candidates will be responsible for developing, and seeking funding for, independent and/or collaborative research programs that contribute to the College of Veterinary Medicine's mission.
Active engagement in curriculum development, identification or creation of innovative learning resources, and committee service participation (such as admissions, curriculum, research, etc.) is expected.

Candidates will have a record of scholarly achievement as an independent and/or collaborative researcher consistent with appointed rank. Additionally, candidates will have a strong commitment to professional DVM and graduate student education, proven strength teaching in large and small group settings, good communication skills, and the ability to promote a culture of diversity and inclusiveness.
