Kemper is growing and adding a Business Systems Analyst to the Preferred Policy Support team in our Information Systems group. This role reports to the IT Director, and will be located in Jacksonville FL, office. The successful candidate will have a major impacton our preferred policy systems.
As a Business Systems Analyst on the Preferred Policy team, you will navigate the balance between Business and IS to play a critical role in the software development lifecycle. This position is responsible for developing and maintaining requirements neededto build and support Agent-facing policy systems. As a Business Systems Analyst, you will work with business customers to understand the Kemper products and Agency automation processes, create business requirements, and perform investigation and testing insupport of Kemper policy systems.
Four or more years of business system analyst or related experience required
P&C insurance industry or a related financial services industry experience required
Experience in writing functional requirements and writing and comprehending test strategies required
Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills required
Demonstrated communication and collaboration skills required
Demonstrated ability to pull various people together and drive for closure required
Technical aptitude and a thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office required
Excellent organizational and time management skills; Strong attention to detail a must
Customer-focused approach is a must
Project leadership experience is a plus
Knowledge of Hewlett-Packard ALM is a plus
Education equivalent to a college degree in an information technology related or business administration related discipline, supplemented by insurance or computer-related courses/knowledge, or the equivalent in related work experience.
