Electrical Engineers at the Naval Nuclear Laboratory (NNL) are engaged throughout their career in the design, development, deployment, analysis, troubleshooting, and testing of electrical systems associated with power electronics, laboratory test facilities, and site electrical infrastructure. This diversity in job opportunities provides NNL Electrical Engineers with challenging work and a means to continue gaining technical skills and broadening their experience throughout their career.

Entry level positions are currently available for engineers to utilize medium and low voltage distribution systems, perform short circuit , load flow, arc flash analysis and protective device coordination.

Job Requirements

  • BS degree in engineering or Bachelor's degree in a science related field from an accredited college or university and a minimum of two years relevant experience; or
  • MS degree in engineering or Master's degree in a science related field from an accredited college or university
  • Job Preferred Skills

  • Medium and low voltage distribution systems.
  • Short circuit, load flow, protective device coordination, and arc flash analysis
  • Site networkedmetering and monitoring systems
  • NFPA 70 and NFPA 70E
