This strategic client facing position has overall accountability for assigned Retiree Solutions clients. The primary responsibility of this position is to develop strategic relationships with assigned clients and execute on exceeding clients needs and expectations that will drive revenue expansion and client retention within the assigned client portfolio. This position will be accountable for providing strategic direction and guidance to assigned internal resources that are responsible for delivering services to customers.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Be a trusted strategic advisor to assigned external clients through relationship development as the subject matter expert of Retiree Solution products
  • Provide strategy and oversight for implementation and on-going servicing for all Retiree Solution products and processes aligned with assigned client portfolio
  • Establish specific client objectives and develop execution strategies to exceed customer expectations
  • Provide customer insights through analysis and reporting on account management activity for assigned customers. Identify market trends and growth opportunities based on strategic customer relationships to help refine macro Retiree Solutions organizational strategies
  • Work and strategize with other UHC functional areas when assigned like customers
  • Collaborate with other areas of Retiree Solution providing specific customer knowledge on trends, process effectiveness and potential enhancement of current products and customer services
  • Consistently meet or exceed persistency and growth goals
  • Demonstrate solid leadership qualities and organizational skills to maximize delivery of customer service effectiveness

Required Qualifications:

  • Located in the Northeast, preference given to those residing in NY, DC, RI
  • Five plus years of experience negotiating renewals and contracts, with proven retention success
  • Strong strategic focus and project -management skills
  • Ability to assess problems and implement solutions based on sound marketing, operational and financial principles
  • Advanced consultative selling and negotiation skills with the ability to successfully construct solutions for complex organizations
  • Proven experience managing and influencing effectively in a large, matrixed environment
  • Well-developed planning capabilities and a track record in controlling costs, identifying customer needs and meeting deadlines.
  • Excellent presentation skills with the expertise and sophistication needed to credibly represent the companys values and quality commitments.
  • Hold a health insurance license
  • Willingness and ability to travel, nationwide. Seasonal commitments from 25-75%
