AVP, Business Development

We re looking for an AVP, Business Development with 8+ years of experience to manage and lead ALL channel specific sales initiatives across the US.

In this position, you will be an individual contributor whose major responsibility will be to grow the Flood Insurance channel and to pave the way into the corporate arena for this client s flood team. This is a great opportunity for someone that has Flood and P&C Sales experience and wants to be a groundbreaker for this corporate giant. If you have a love of travel and building relationships to close big $25 Mil.+ deals, we want to hear from you.

As the AVP, Business Development, you will:

Grow sales and revenue for assigned market.

Create opportunities by identifying prospects and evaluating prospect s position in industry.

Develop partnership with digital agencies to become their flood insurance product provider.

Engage in direct and consultative sales activity to win business.

Monitor sales forecasts.

Identify opportunities to enhance performance.

Take action to meet and/or exceed sales goals.

Explore partnership opportunities.

Lead or support assessment of new growth opportunities via market analysis and/or competitive research.

Prepare and deliver formal Sales presentations to potential and/or existing partners

Demonstrate an in-depth understanding of Flood solutions.

Develop innovative ways to grow our client s business and differentiate their Business Unit from outside competitors.

Update management on competitive activities and market trends.

  • Travel at least 50%

Job Requirements for AVP, Business Development:

7+ year of professional experience selling Flood Insurance.

6+ years of Complex/Enterprise Sales experience.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Excellent presentation skills.

Experience working with C-level executives.

Must have the ability to research and stay in tune with market place/trends.

Must have the ability to modify strategies based on the changes identified.

Ability to apply experience and knowledge of the business

Discover, develop and implement strategies that will bring financial results to our clients Business Unit.

Have knowledge of principles involved in the sales process or ability to find decision makers.

Proven ability to work successfully with multiple decision makers.

Must be influential in decision making process yet remain ethical.

Must be able to overcome obstacles/barriers.

Bachelor s degree

Bonus Requirements:

Flood insurance or P&C industry exp.
